The Fading Daylight Necklace was designed by you and Melanie for our MC x Rio Grande Garnets Diamond Friday collab! This necklace centers an oval cut rhodolite garnet in an east-west setting. The garnet focal is underscored by three white diamonds, one round, one oval, and one pear, with a sprinkling of small round cut diamonds throughout. The weightless pendant hangs from a delicate 14k gold or platinum chain, the diamond-encrusted bail linking through a slender loop that connects to the focal garnet. Inspired by fall in New England, designer Melanie Casey flipped the script on your votes, allowing the deep purple of the focal garnet to shine alongside leaf-like accent diamonds. With deep color amid sparkling diamonds, the Fading Daylight Necklace brings light to the impending darkness.
Oval cut rhodolite garnet focal (7x5mm, AA quality)
Solid 14k gold (or platinum) rope chain and lobster clasp. Total length is 18" with two shortening stations, one at 17" and one at 16". Signature Melanie Casey natural diamond drop on the chain.
The design is accented by one (3.6x2.7mm) oval cut diamond, one (4x2.5mm) pear cut diamond, and eight (1-2.5mm) round cut diamonds.
All accent diamonds are natural with SI clarity and G+ color.
Each piece in our collection is hand-crafted by one of our in-house jewelers or one of our trusted manufacturing partners. Melanie's designs require a careful, experienced hand to execute, and each piece is put through a rigorous quality check to ensure its perfection.
- The length of each of our necklaces is specified in the Details tab and indicates the total length, including the chain and pendant.
- Necklaces that are 18" will have a 16" and 17" stationed jump ring that gives you the option to wear it at the length that works for you. Our necklaces have a lobster clasp and a signature lab-grown diamond drop at the end of the chain.
- To determine how the necklace will fit, we suggest cutting a string to the length that’s specified for the piece you’re interested in and tying it around your neck to see how the length looks on you.

- A signature from an adult (21+) will be required upon delivery if the purchase amount was over $50.
- We can ship to any permanent address (including your workplace)—but not hotels or non-permanent addresses.
- Please contact us if you need to reroute or change the delivery address.
- All packages are fully insured.
Domestic (U.S.):
- We offer free shipping on all orders over $50
- We ship via UPS 2-Day for orders over $50, and USPS Priority for orders under $50.
International:
- We ship through FedEx International Priority to a limited number of countries (see the full list here).
- International clients are responsible for all shipping and all customs charges.

We will repair your jewelry whenever it needs repairing for as long as you own it. Our highly skilled repair specialist will evaluate your piece and stay in open communication with you about the work that’s needed and any associated costs.
Also, you can send your jewelry to us at any time for a free thorough cleaning and inspection to ensure it is sparkling beautifully and in top shape.
