We’re happy to offer clients an inspection and cleaning of any previously purchased pieces from the Melanie Casey collection!
Once we receive the piece, our team of master bench jewelers will begin the inspection. If an imperfection is found while inspecting your piece and additional work is needed, you will be informed and the piece will move to our repair department. While the cleaning and inspection process typically takes two weeks to complete, additional work will increase this timeline.
A thorough cleaning follows the inspection. The addition of polish will be added if a piece has endured extensive scuffing or can be requested if you are approaching a major event, like your wedding. Stone tightness will be checked both before and after cleaning.
Once complete, our shipping department will return your piece and email a report detailing its condition, even if no repair is needed.
Step 1: Email Us
Start by emailing us at questions@melaniecasey.com to let us know you plan on shipping us your package so we can plan accordingly.
Step 2: Prepare for Shipping
Get a good box and some cushioning material, or a padded mailer. Put your item in there and make sure it can safely withstand all the travel.
Step 3: Write the To and From
Write our address on the package:

And please be sure to indicate your name (and order number, if applicable) clearly somewhere on or in the package. You will not receive a shipping label from us.
Step 4: Send it Through Your Preferred Shipper
There are three very important things you need to do at the mail courier’s office before you say bon voyage:
- Require the addressee’s signature for the delivery.
- Fully insure your package so that it matches the full value of your ring.
- Get a tracking number for your package.
Note for International Clients: You are responsible for all shipping fees, including any and all customs charges that may apply. Many countries claim not to charge for this kind of service. However, if they charge you anyway, you are still responsible to pay those fees. Please read our Shipping and Packaging information for complete details.

Once that goes through and you place your order using Bread, we’ll start the processing and ship your jewelry when it's ready.
