Combining innovation with structure, the Starboard Ring centers an oval cut diamond of your choice on a pave band of 14k gold or platinum. Twenty-two accent diamonds are set into the band, causing the band to appear to be made up of diamonds alone. Because the focal stone is the heart of this classic engagement ring, designer Melanie Casey turned her unique vision onto the setting. The focal diamond is held in place by six double prongs and a double-lined basket, adding an element of artistry to something most often seen as purely structural. The care and precision with which we craft each engagement ring are apparent in the uniform prongs, the weightless diamond accents, and the strength that holds it all together. With imaginative details, the Starboard Ring encourages you to ride each incoming wave with a sense of adventure and trust in yourself.

Melanie prefers a plump oval that is slightly wider and shorter for this design—she also loves this set with an M or N champagne diamond.
This design features an open basket setting with six double-prongs on a delicate 1.2mm band.
Solid 14k gold or platinum.
The band is accented by twenty-two (1mm) pave set round cut white diamonds, eleven on each side of the focal stone.
All accent diamonds are natural with SI clarity and G+ color.

- This piece was designed with our signature 1.2mm band. It is specifically designed and crafted to be not only delicate-looking, but also long-lasting. However, we know some people prefer a thicker band, and we can customize our bands to 1.5mm or 2mm for most designs. Please reach out to our customer care team with any questions about customizing the band for this piece!
